How To Apply
Applying to Griffith College Dublin is your first step towards
a rewarding and exciting overseas educational experience.
To apply to GCD you will need to do the following: -
Complete the GCD Application Form in full. GCD Application
Form can be downloaded by clicking here for pdf or here
for ms-word version.
Prepare all your educational documents (High School and
University, if applicable) for submission with your application
form. Please note: Only original or attested copies of your
documents can be accepted with your application.
Prepare a C.V./Resume detailing your academic/work history
year-by-year with no gaps.
Include an original or an attested copy score sheet of
an internationally recognised English Language Test such
as IELTS/TOEFL and/or proof that your education was conducted
in English (letter from the School/College required).
Provide two reference letters in sealed envelopes, signed
on the flap by the referee.
Include copies of passport pages detailing passport number,
personal details, photograph, date of place and issue and
all visa stamps.
Include an application fee of EUR50.
Send all documents to the College.
You will receive an email to confirm receipt of your documents.
If all is in order, you will receive a Provisional Offer
Letter within 2 weeks. If additional documentation is required,
you will be contacted by email.
Your Provisional Offer Letter details the course fee, which
you are required to pay in full by Swift Transfer (TT).
When you have paid your fees, please fax a copy of the Swift
Transfer (TT), form signed and stamped by your bank, to
the International Office. This is evidence that the fees
have been transferred.
On receipt of the copy of the Swift Transfer form, we will
issue an Invitation to Register Letter.
You can then use this letter to apply for your Study Visa.
When you apply for your Study Visa you are given a Visa
Reference Number.
You should email the International Office(international@gcd.ie)
immediately with this number so we can follow up on your
case with the Irish Department of Justice – the Irish Government
Department responsible for issuing Study Visas.
When your visa is approved, please inform the International
Office immediately so that we can update our records.
You should then make your travel arrangements to come to
Ireland and inform the International Office of your arrival
details. If you require a pick-up from the airport, please
inform the International Office so that we can arrange this
for you.
If you require accommodation, you should inform the International
Office a minimum of seven days prior to you arrival date
so that this can be arranged for you. In order to secure
your on-campus accommodation, we will require you to pay
your 1st Semester accommodation fee in advance.
There will be induction/orientation for all international
students before the start of term and you will be informed
about this closer to the time.
